LALL: On Sunday, October 9, 2016, Melville Merlin Lall, husband to Mona and father to Rohan and Rina, passed away in Brandon at the age of 70 years. He was a dedicated and loving family man who cared deeply for his friends. Mel was well respected by his peers and was a nationally and internationally recognized scholar. He was an advocate for education in communities throughout the province and served the Indigenous people of Manitoba during his many years at Brandon University's Northern Teachers Education Program. Mel will be dearly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held in his honour at First Presbyterian Church, 339-12th Street, on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church.
